Podczas lotu nadlotniskowego na wysokości około 500m nad poziomem lotniska, w rejonie trzeciego zakrętu lewego kręgu do pasa 23L lotniska EPLS, szybowiec rozpoczął autorotację (korkociąg), który kontynuował do momentu uderzenia z ziemią. Pilot poniósł śmierć na miejscu.
