Skoczek z dużym doświadczeniem, po poprawnym oddzieleniu się od samolotu, swobodnym opadaniu w formacji oraz prawidłowym otwarciu skrzydła, podczas wykonywania manewru podejścia do lądowania z dużą prędkością pionową zderzył się z ziemią. Pomimo natychmiastowej pomocy skoczek zmarł na miejscu zdarzenia.
