VFR flight plans

This generator helps you build a VFR flight plan text in ICAO/EUROFPL style from readable blocks of data. It is an educational and practical aid and does not replace checking the plan in official systems.

A flight plan from building blocks

Instead of entering raw ICAO fields, you move through logical sections: aircraft, departure, route, arrival and optional extras. The final FPL text appears on the right.

Flight scenario

Pick a typical VFR flight - we set sensible defaults. You can switch to your own configuration anytime.

Aircraft and flight type

Registration and aircraft type as in your documents. ICAO hints are in the tooltips.

Departure

Aerodrome and departure time in UTC. The date is also sent as DOF in item 18.

VFR route

Cruise speed, level and route - combined into the speed/level/route part of item 15.

Arrival and extra information

Destination, alternate and free-text landing site if there is no ICAO code.

Equipment and transponder (optional detail)

Tick the equipment you really have and will use on the flight. The generator builds items 10a and 10b from these choices.
