Aby zmniejszyć pochylenie samolotu (czyli obniżyć nos), należy pociągnąć drążek sterowy do siebie. To powoduje wychylenie steru wysokości w górę, co zmniejsza kąt natarcia i obniża nos samolotu. Wychylenie drążka do siebie jest podstawowym sposobem kontrolowania pochylenia podczas lotu.
